Nick Johnson has been on staff with InterVarsity since 2004 and his wife, Liz Johnson, has been on staff since 2002. Nick, a graduate of Emory University, came to follow Jesus through InterVarsity’s work on campus when he was a senior. A few years later he joined InterVarsity staff, returning to Emory to reach fraternity and sorority (Greek) students. He is currently planting a multi-ethnic chapter at Georgia State. Liz also began to follow Jesus while in college at William and Mary. She began serving Greek students at Emory and now serves as the Southeast’s Regional Greek Coordinator, overseeing the region’s ministry to this strategic group of students. They host a yearly InterVarsity Global Plunge in Haiti, and they have a deep passion to see students engage in evangelism and in seeking justice. Nick and Liz are happily the parents of their two young children, Elijah and Selah. In their spare time they enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and traveling overseas whenever given the opportunity.

A long, long time ago, in May 2010, Crystal graduated from Vanderbilt University. She embarked on a journey to become an intern staff at Georgia State University to work with Nick and Liz Johnson. Along the way, she loved meeting and working with the students at GSU, learning about God’s heart for the commuter campus, leading a Bible study, and participating in their Justice Week events. Before she knew it, she had made a decision to stay another year because the InterVarsity staff in the GA area were just too cool. She looks forward to new journeys with the GSU chapter and to learning from her community in Georgia. Crystal also has two beautiful babies, her dogs Ellie and Paris.
